Hi
elpuntazza,
in general, it is good to mention in your applications that you've spoken to some current students or alumni and to include their names and batches. But rather than a laundry list of names, ideally, you want to mention some key insights you've gathered from your conversations with them. For example, if your immediate post-MBA goal is getting into healthcare, it would be great to talk to alumni who landed a job in healthcare and learn how the school helped them so that you can talk about it in your essays.
Most alumni and current students get many requests from applicants and they cannot answer them all. But in your case, I would take advantage of the fact that you are now connected to them on LinkedIn, and reach out to them directly via the internal messaging system or even via email (if they have it visible). You could start by thanking them for connecting with you and then you could ask them politely whether they have 5 min for a couple of questions. I'm sure some of them will get back to you with positive answers.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
Thank you very much.
Warm regards
Alex
