let the ages of three people be x, y, z(ascending order)

Sum of ages of 3 people = 21*3 =63

To find : Is X>13 ?

Statement 1:
z=25
x+y+z= 63
x+y=63-25=38
So the min age x can take is when y is max.
Max value y can take is 24 (one less than age of Z)
xmin =14

Sufficient.

Statement 2:
One of the three people is 24 years old.

x=12, y=24 z=27
x=14, y=24, z=25
Not sufficient.
