Despite this being the team based competition, I propose next time onwards give the awards / rewards to top 15% contributors of each group as the top 15% of even the last team would have contributed much more than bottom 85% combined for the winnning team. So in a way, real contributors might not get much but lazy ones in the winning team might get great rewards. Current structure is Quite unfair in that sense.

Thank you for the suggestion. The team side makes things a bit more complicated but we will see about switching things up a bit more to make it more individual... and yes, once you are in a team, there is only so much you can do to to move the needle but our hope is that someone will be the group leader and someone will motivate the members to pitch in.
Spot on! If say top 15~20% from every team gets awarded then what's the point of this competition being a team event. I completely understand people who contributed a lot and still ended up not securing a winning position. Believe me I have participated in such competitions before and never won but this time I gave more than I ever did and thankfully our team won (Though I don't think I am going to secure any prize as I am ranked 14th in our team
). So winning and losing are part and parcel of any competition. The only take away you can have is that one should be happy with their efforts and not get disheartened from the outcome. Priority should be to ace GMAT and we should be thankful to gmatclub for providing us this platform cost free.
