As a concept once considered for a foundation of economic theory, the rational actor model may soon go the way of the Model T as psychologists have provided more detailed information describing the emotional, familial, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplace. - 1 considered for is wrong ; 2. have provided is inappropriate tense , since the process of poviidng is till deemd to be continuing . That is why the futuristic use of ‘may soon go the way’

The rational actor model, a concept long considered the cornerstone of economic theory, may soon go the way of the Model T as psychologists are providing more detailed information about the emotional, family influence, and history that affect individual behavior in the marketplace. - the emotional, family influence, and history – unparallel within the list; In addition it ignores the “ factor” after history,

A concept long considered the cornerstone of economic theory, the rational actor model, may soon go the way of the Model T for psychologists who provide more detailed information describing the emotional, family influence, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplace. – 1. for psychologists who provide is wrong – as if it will soon go the way for psychologists who provide . 2. where is the adjectival 'familial' influence ? Family influence is not a parallel to other adjectival forms. .

A concept long considered being the cornerstone of economic theory, the rational actor model, is soon to be going the way of the Model T for psychologists who are providing more detailed information about the emotional, family influence, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplace. -1. is soon to be going- very awkward idiom.2, for psychologies that provide – same error as in C. 3. considered to be – wrong idiom

The rational actor model, a concept long considered the cornerstone of economic theory, may soon go the way of the Model T as psychologists provide more detailed information describing the emotional, familial, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplacecorrect ( idiom ,tense, and //ism) ; hence correct choice too

I would say, rather than the parallelism, the wording in the questions is quite tricky.

I had to read the lines several times to understand the sentence. I feel questions such as these are 'made tough' rather 'tough'.

Nice question though. Thank you.

B,C,D could be easily eliminated because of the lack of parallelism.

"the emotional, family influence, historical factors" is not a parallel construction. We have adjective, noun, and noun.

Only (A) and (E) adress correctly this issue.

In (A) ''for a foundation of economic theory'' is not the appropriate construction and fails to convey the intended meaning of the sentence.

Se we end up with (E).

tough one, took me ~2 minutes to go through POE and get to the answer.

Let's understand the meaning:
The rational actor model may soon go the way of the model T. Rational actor model is a concept once considered for a foundation of economic theory.
because psychologists have provided more detailed information
information that describes the emotional, familial, and historical factors
these factors affect individual behavior in the marketplace.

Let's do the error analysis:
As a concept once considered for a foundation of economic theory - looks like a noun modifier, yet "as" here is followed by a noun which is subsequently modified. This can only mean one thing - "as" is used to present function. This is nonsense. "in the role of foundation of economic theory, rational actor model may go ..."
the correct idiom is consider X Y.
This is the only errors i identified.

As a concept once considered for a foundation of economic theory, the rational actor model may soon go the way of the Model T as psychologists have provided more detailed information describing the emotional, familial, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplace.
as mentioned above.

The rational actor model, a concept long considered the cornerstone of economic theory, may soon go the way of the Model T as psychologists are providing more detailed information about the emotional, family influence, and history that affect individual behavior in the marketplace.
information about history. No! psychologists have presented information that describes FACTORS. out.

A concept long considered the cornerstone of economic theory, the rational actor model, may soon go the way of the Model T for psychologists who provide more detailed information describing the emotional, family influence, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplace.
this one changes the meaning. It says that a concept may soon go the way. may go the way "for" psychologists - again, changes the meaning. out.

A concept long considered to be the cornerstone of economic theory, the rational actor model, is soon to be going the way of the Model T for psychologists who are providing more detailed information about the emotional, family influence, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplace.
just like C, D changes the meaning of the sentence. A concept is soon to be going. Again, same "for" psychologists.

The rational actor model, a concept long considered the cornerstone of economic theory, may soon go the way of the Model T as psychologists provide more detailed information describing the emotional, familial, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplace
the noun modifier "a concept long considered the cornerstone of economic theory" is positioned correctly.
everything else looks good as well.
E is the best answer.
