So forgive me because I just need to vent! I took my GMAT last month and got a disappointing 620 - I noted in all my applications my intent to take it a month later as I was confident I could raise my score (now I wasn't expecting 780 or anything because I do in fact have reading disability that I have busted my butt trying to work around). I studied for a month more and saw great improvement on practice tests so I thought ok this is going to be great.

Well as luck would have it - I started to feeling sick yesterday and was getting really nervous - this morning I woke up with 102 fever and a sinus headache like never before - I really couldn't think straight the whole test despite being pumped up on dayquil and got an even more disappointing 600- i could finish either section and guessed on almost half of each!

I wanted to cancel the test but because I noted in my apps that I was retaking today I felt I had no choice!!

I wonder if I can try and take again in March in a last ditch effort - at this point I feel I have NOTHING to lose because it can't get any worse!!!

Thanks for letting me share! Damn GMAT!!

Take it again in March. It's obvious you're capable of a better score than the 600 you got because of external circumstances. I don't know your school schedule or deadline situation - but if you can retake, do it. Heck, do it for your own peace of mind if nothing else - I'm sure it's driving you nuts if you feel that you left some points on the table.

Thanks! I think I will - I am a female and am approaching 30! I am not applying again after this year so I might as well!
