At 1:00:00 PM the data transfer resumed. ( it means before there was some data transfer and has stopped working due to some issues).
The rate of data transfer after resuming is 200 MBPS.
Transfer stops if TOTAL DATA transferred is 5000 MB.
We need to find : was the data transfer before resuming (1:00:00 PM) >= 2000 MB ????
Statement 1:
(1) Total 2,700 megabytes of data was transferred by 1:00:05 P.M.
We know that after 1:00:00 PM the rate is 200 MBPS.
in 5 secs , data transfer is 200 * 5 = 1000 MB
But, the Total data transfer is 2700 MB = (data before 1 pm + data after 1 pm)
Hence, data before 1 pm = 2700 - 1000 = 1700 MB.
SUFFICIENT
Statement 2:
(2) Total 4,700 megabytes of data was transferred by 1:00:15 P.M.
In 15 secs, data transferred = 15*200 MBPS = 3000 MB
But, the Total data transfer is 4700 MB = (data before 1 pm + data after 1 pm)
Hence, data before 1 pm = 4700 - 3000 = 1700 MB.
SUFFICIENT
Both statements are individually sufficient. Option D
