Official Explanation

There are 65 students taking finance and 55 students taking economics. The total number of students taking either finance or economics is 65 + 55, or 120. The largest number listed in the table is 125, which is too large. The next largest number is 110. Of the numbers listed in the table, the largest number of students taking either finance or economics is 110.

If all of the students taking economics were also taking finance, there would be 55 students taking both courses. This is the largest number of students who could take both courses. However, the number 55 is not listed in the table, and 70 is too large. So of the numbers listed in the table, the largest number of Acme students who are taking both finance and economics is 30.
