IMO Ans is E.
As per the question: 200 students are taking physics and students who are taking pre-calculus will also take physics.
So, going through the options only option E satisfy the given condition.

At Jonah Johnston High School, there are 300 students in the senior class. If all the seniors who take pre-calculus also take physics and 200 seniors are currently taking physics, which is a possible number of seniors taking pre-calculus?

A. 500
B. 400
C. 300
D. 250
E. 150

We can think of this in terms of venn diagram.

Overall 300 students.

Pre calculus is a circle inside the physics circle. Physics circle has 200. So pre calculus circle will have 200 or fewer seniors.

Only option (E) works.
