It is A which makes sense. all other are not meaningful enough to make it a good sentence.

Looks like I have confused Manhattan GMAT with Manhattan Review(MR). Sorry about that. The question is from the latter.
All these days I thought both were the same. I thought MR got its name changed to MGMAT.

Quick question: I recently started using MR to solve SC questions only while travelling (I use only e-GMAT at home to learn and practice). Is MR SC worth the time and effort?

MANHATTAN REVIEW OFFICIAL EXPLANATION:



A is simplest, shortest and clearest. It is correct. B and D are not complete sentences. C is too wordy. ‘It’ in E does not refer to anything.
