E it is....

the train could go fast in the first half the trip and then slow down...
or vice versa

I pick E too as neither statement gives any information about what the speed would be at any particular time...

E as well. Average rate tells you nothing about how fast something is going at a particular point in time.

anytime you see average think of

(2+9999+5+3+7654)/5 <---- Random Speeds

Not sufficient because it may had variables speeds....


2)the train travelled at an average rate of 115 miles per hour on the trip

Avg rate doesnt mean that the train travelled at that pace necessarily
