I am trying to understand the average monthly expenses that Part-Time students incur apart from the Tuition Fees. What is the typical amount spent on Flight tickets, commute to schools and stay and other such related expenses.
Any guidance on this is much appreciated.

Flight Tickets = Depends on how much flying you do. Some people commute to school via plane, some do international trips, and others do neither
Commute to School = Depends on how far away you live and what kind of car you drive
Stay = Depends on what city you live in, how nice of place you live in, if you have roommates, etc..
Other Related expense = depends on the school, where you live, and how active you are in the school, and what your school requires.
So in other words, there is NO way to estimate without knowing your particular situation.
I would however contact the school you are looking at and ask them. Often times they can give you a rough estimate. I would add another few hundred or more a month to be on the safe side. Also, if you are questioning how much it will cost, realize that it is a significant expense and you should start determining potential costs right now. Research and figure out how much you will need, b/c you don't want to end up on a mac n cheese diet for years. Good luck

I've been accepted as a part time student and have asked this question to every school I applied. They all have given me a similar response.
As long as you are enrolled at least half time (most schools' part time programs will have you take enough hours to meet half time status), you will be allowed to take out federal financial aid.
Second, the cost of attendance budget for a half time student will include the same living expense budget as a full time student in the vast majority of cases. You will get an allowance for local travel, room and board, books, and even a computer your first year. Check the full time program's living allowance numbers and you can expect a similar number for the part time program over 9 months. It will probably be larger than that because most part time programs will last throughout the entire year so your budget will be for 12 months including the summer term that part time programs take advantage of.
Schools do not budget for weekly plane trips if you go to a program nowhere close to your area. That you will have to adjust in the budget you are granted assuming you borrow that money. If you are enrolled less than half time, then your budget outside of tuition is limited to books.
Most part time students are working, so many if not most won't have to borrow all that extra money, but it is there if you need it.
