I was working on my AWA and from the many sample essays that I have seen, I realised that many examples simply take a stand on one side of the issue and support it.

Is it wrong if i take a neutral stand, to say that it is wrong to be at either extremes?

Thanks!!!

From what I know, you're required to take a stand, instead of straddlign the fence. A good essay would be one that points out clearly why you take a certain stand (with examples from real-life scenarios preferably) and also point out certain cons of your ideas. Go a step further and aruge why those cons do not outweigh the pros you pointed out.
