IMO, I would start by preparing Verbal overall. By doing some reading comprehension tasks, you usually already get a feeling for the language.
Moreover, it also depends on what your business school is expecting you to have in AWA - I've heard, some do not care at all if you have a lower score. In this case, you should concentrate on Quant and Verbal as these are the sections that influence your total score in the end.
I'm also quite positive that chineseburned provided us with a very helpful guide (couldn't test it myself. But I'll tell you more after I've written my GMAT).
Look for "How to get 6.0 AWA....my guide"
Take a look at it. However, as I've said: Don't stress too much about AWA in the beginning of your preparation.
