I scored a 750 on my GMAT but only got a 4.5 on my AWA and a 8 on my IR sections.
Should I retake the GMAT due to the dismal AWA score?

You have a great score! I don't think so....
Any idea why AWA so low?
Keep in mind that the Ad Com will read it and will compare the style to your essays, so if you did something crazy or really paid no attention or .... you then may want to retake but unless you have something strange in there, I would not bother. You got a 750!

I think I was casual about it, finished it in 2 paragraphs and moved on in 15 minutes. I don't think my language or writing skills are dismal, I have contributed to the WSJ and NYT in the past. It maybe more lack of content than anything else.
