Personally, I found Kaplan CATs to be way more difficult than the actual test. In fact, I scored 180 points better on the real thing. Kaplan tests are good practice definitely but (for some) not the best estimate of actual scores.

Good luck on Monday!

Loren,

The general perception is that KAPLAN is much harder. While I have not given my GMAT yet, I can tell you that I did way better in Princeton, GMATPrep and ETS paper tests than I did with Kaplan.

I suggest you do the GMATPrep diagnostics (free from https://www.mba.com) and see how you do, and then use that as a basis. BTW Kaplan quant is pretty good for toughening you up just don't their scores as a predictor of your performance.

Good luck.

One last thing I forgot to ask...

I read on a different web site that the Kaplan questions are harder than average so in actuality your score may be a higher on the actual exam than Kaplan is saying it is.

Is this true?

~loren

Hi Loren,
from my experience, Kaplan CATs are not harder than the real thing(at least not quant), however its scoring algorithm tends to depreciate the actual score. you may see and compare your scores by the following link:

regards

Very true. In KAPLAN PS my score was 100% and DS 99%.Quant is way easier. I found verbal a little harder than the real thing.

Hi,

I found the Kaplan tests to be my worst tests that I have written so far. About a 50 point drop. But this is good practice as I don't want to be surprised when I take the real GMAT.
