I'm doing the pre-mba trips that GSB runs (as do most schools) - I havent decided where yet - probably teh galapagos. I dont think I'll take part in most of the other winter trips - just because I'd rather go scuba diving than tooling about with students or something, but I do plan on still taking vacations. I'll probably do one before my 2nd year starts and one when I graduate.

I think the one before school starts is worth doing - you'll meet so many people and make so many connections.

I believe that some trips are included in the tuition costs, maybe I'm wrong. I seem to recall that Michigan's MAP program is included in the tuition cost (7 week program). I think that Wharton's is as well. Just too d@mn much data to sort through at this point. If I'm accepted to any schools, I look into it then.

I recently read up on this. The MAP travel costs and accomodations/food are paid for by the sponsoring company. But KWEST - Kellogg's pre-school trip comes out of students' pockets.

I don't know if I could participate to those trips. I really love traveling to Europe and can manage to have some money (such as look for a rich wife), but since I'm an international student, my student visa has expired, so that I can not leave the U.S (actually I can leave, but if I want to enter again, I have to come back to my original country to apply for visa again)

Wouldn't your VISA get renewed in the US?

My friend who goes to HBS took her husband with her on her recent trip to Brazil, do you guys know if this is normal for people to bring significant others?

I didn't get the impression that most of the for-credit trips were open to significant others. Although if it were an entire semester exchange I couldn't see them objecting.

Generally speaking no - the trips are for students. GSB however does have a trip specifically set up for couples. I imagine some of the other schools do too.

Just blonde hair and glasses I guess. Is that you in the picture? What does the license plate mean? (Again I'm like the old man trying to understand why his grandkids are saying "Don't have a cow man.")
