Hello All,
It's my understanding that MBAs don't carry as much weight as they used to, and I think an MS-style program would better suit my interests. I am currently looking at a specialty masters (MS) through a top 20 business school. It has recently come to my attention that there are similar programs at some Schools of Continuing Education (executive masters/masters of professional studies, also from universities with top 20 schools).
How well regarded are the latter masters degrees if they are from nontraditional schools (continuing ed, still brick and mortar)? Is there still a bias against non-traditional schools if the only real difference is where the masters is housed?
My programs would be rather small so I'd rather not go into too much detail. Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
