Had a very successful phone interview today with a member of the adcom who was also a former graduate.

Very relaxed, similar questions you can find online, no pressure, lots of positive reinforcement.

Would advise Skype over phone if possible as some of the pauses to allow her to write were a little uncomfortable, and probably would not have been if I could have seen her writing.

Very positive, lots of reinforcement - hoping they can pony up some $$$ for me to attend as there is no no-cosigner international loan program that I am aware of right now.

Just got an email for interview invitation today!!! Yeh!! Good luck to y'all for the interview. Let's do our best :)

By the way, I clicked the link the sent me for scheduling an interview. I'm not sure if that one is a registration form. They said I could choose my interview preference on the checkbox in the form. But after I clicked it, I saw only "The Interview time you have selected is no longer available. Please select an alternative time and date." for all the dates available there. Just sent them another email to ask how to schedule the interview, and still waiting for their reply.


Yes thats the actuall registration form, you have to scroll down. I think most of the appointments are booked. There some free spots available in Feb.


Really??? I checked for 10 times already. it all says the same thing - not available.:(

Any one form India, who has already given the interview? The time slots available are in the Night, India time. Do they consider rescheduling the interview at a more appropriate time?

I havent prepared for the interview as yet, any tips on what kind of preparation is required?
What sort of questions are asked in the interview?
Who is the interviewer? a 2nd year student/alumni/ad-comm person?

Hi,

This question is to current students/alumni of Babson Full-time MBA,

I'd like to know your opinions on 'Life at Babson':
1. How is the class environment?
2. How are classes scheduled? are the schedules fixed or vary depending on faculty's availability?
3. What is a usual day like on campus?
4. Who's the most interesting faculty for the core curriculum?
5. How/where do most international students prefer to stay? On-campus/off campus, considering the public transportation problem? Either ways; how much does one spend on living?
6. Considering the high costs of the program, are there any means to support yourself or a portion of the tution?

Sure. I'm Asian, female, 25, 3.5 WE with my undergrad concentration in accounting. I'd been an auditor at Big4 for 3 years. I got a CPA license and currently work for my family business.

As I believe it might be beneficial for others who will have interviews later, I'm going to share my interview experience here.

Had an interview on Feb 2 with the second-year student. I scheduled for a 10 am slot but my interviewer asked to postpone since he had another Babson event that time. So we had an interview at noon (which is midnight in my country). He was very friendly. The interview was very relaxed. But during the first question (walkthrough resume) I was nervous that I forgot to mention about my working experience at my own company. Then I realized that when I answered the ST,LT goal questions and told the interviewer about it.the interviewer said he got a list of questions that he needed to ask me. These are the questions I can remember.

1. Walkthrough resume
2. ST LT goal
3. Why MBA, Why now
4. WHy Babson and have you applied for other schools and where?
5. Tell me about your leadership and teamwork experiences
6. What kind of leader are you?
7. What three strengths you think you have the most?
8. Have you run into any opportunities that might come in your way? Please give some examples?
9. What are you passionate about?
10. Any questions you may want to ask?

That's about it, I guess. It was a thirty-minute interview. Before we ran to the last two questions, my interviewer said I could provide a very concise answer, spent only 1 min while others may spend 3-4 mins, and he appreciated that. (But later I wasn't sure if that was ok cuz I felt like i should have talked a bit more)
