Hi guys, I gave my GMAT on 24th April 2013. I got a score of 520. V - 22 and M - 40. I am not at all happy with my score.I got 600 in my practice tests, which is also not great.
I am planning to retake the exam after preparing for 4 months thoroughly. I am planning to quit my current job and dedicate 4 months to prepare only for GMAT. Do you think it is a good idea to quit my job now and prepare only for GMAT? Its been one year since I started working and I am 21 years old.
I want to do MS in Marketing. Kindly give me your suggestions

I always joke with my students that it would be great if they could quit their jobs and just focus on the GMAT. Occasionally, some people do just that. However, if I were you I'd be very cautious about doing so. Remember that the GMAT is just one part of your application. You are younger and less experienced than the average b-school applicant, so quitting work now would probably hurt your overall chances, even if you go back to work after the 4 months are over. It would probably be better to put together an aggressive study plan that fits around your work schedule. Focus on getting the most out of each session, and actively reviewing to learn from your completed work. It's hard to study effectively for 8 hours a day, anyway!
