L+B = 121 (1)
If (1/3)B = (2/5)L
Then B = (6/5)L (2)
Plug (2) into (1) to get:
L + (6/5)L = 121
(11/5)L = 121
11L = 605
L = 55
L+B = 121 (1)
If (1/3)B = (2/5)L
Then B = (6/5)L (2)
Plug (2) into (1) to get:
L + (6/5)L = 121
(11/5)L = 121
11L = 605
L = 55

Let the amount of money Bart and Lisa have be B and L respectively.
Given:
\(B + L = 121\), \(B = 121 - L\)
Also, given:
\(\frac{B}{3} = \frac{2}{5}L\)
\(B = \frac{6}{5}L\)
\(121 - L = \frac{6}{5}L\)
\(121 = \frac{6}{5}L + L\)
\(\frac{11L}{5} = 121\)
\(L = 55\)
