We are given the number of eggs per chicken. We are asked to find the number of chicken who laid 10 eggs each.
So 10x is the total number of eggs, where x is the number of chicken.
For 9 eggs, we have 2 chicken; for 8 eggs, we have 4 chicken and so on. Adding the given info, we get 10x + 119 = 179. So, 10x = 60. Hence, the number of chicken is 6.
D is the correct answer.

Let the number of chicken who laid 10 eggs be x.
Therefore the total number of chickens who laid 179 eggs are: 6+10+18+35+32+18+10x= 179.
\(119+10x=179.\)
\(10x=179-119.\)
\(10x=60.\)
\(x=\frac{60}{10}.\)
\(x=6.\)
Therefore, the OA is D.
