I took my GMAT a couple weeks ago and just received my official score report. For my AWA score, I was expecting to receive either two scores out of 6 and a percentile for each, or a score out of 12 and a percentile for that. Instead I received a 6.0 / 91%. Now, I feel like this is a stupid question, but just to be sure - what does that mean?

That means you got the highest possible score :)
6 out of 6 and it happens to be better than that of 91% of other folks.

The awa score is based on a 0-6 scale with 0.5 meter. So your score can be 6.0 or 5.5 or 5.0, etc...

AWA score is combined – 6.0 is as high as it goes. Well done!

Ok, cool. I sort of guessed that was the case, since the percentile was 91. Going into the test though, I was always under the impression that each individual essay was graded 0 - 6, since that's the way Kaplan would provide feedback on my practice essays. But I guess they combine them. Thanks guys!

Cool! I'm glad you scored so high on the AWA. What about the other sections? How did you do in Q and V?
