C
The first problem here is that the use of so to connect the second part of the sentence to the first is unnecessary and incorrect. Since the first part of the sentence (Because...2002,) is a dependent clause indicating causation, no further transition is needed between it and the main clause, beginning with the potential buyers. The second problem is that originally is an adverb, which cannot be used to modify the noun construction; it must become the adjective original. Only (C) corrects both problems.
(B) needlessly replaces so with the conjunction and, and retains originally. In (D) and (E), therefore is redundant since the sentence already begins with the word Because, which indicates the causation.
