Tread comprises =40%
lost %0% of 40%=20% of tire weight
Remaining weight of tire=100-20=80%
Tread remaining = 40%-20%=20%
thus per cent(let A) of the tire’s total remaining weight consists of the remaining tread=
20%=A% of 80%
A=2000/80=25%

Let's use weights for this example:

If total weight of all components of tire is 100g, then 40g will be tread and 60g will be the remaining components.

50% of total weight of tread is lost so, in our example, 20g of tread are lost and 20g of tread remain.

Our total is now 80g (since we lost 20g), so 20g of tread that remains divided by 80g total is 20/80 or 25%.

B.

Hope this makes sense!

Percentage of tread to total remaining weight of the tire = 20/80*100 =25%

Hence answer will be (B) 25%
