'restricting' and 'begun' don't work together...different tenses...so A doesn't work. 'restricted' and 'providing' don't work together...so E doesn't work. "restricted in calorie content that provides all the required nutrients"...'that' modifies 'calorie content'...so C doesn't work "A diet...beginning"...should read "A diet...that begins" ... so D doesn't work.
therefore, B has to be the answer.
