There are many principles by this bloke Bernouli.

i assume that you are looking for the ones relating to probability - bernouli trials.

It is simply a trial that has only two possible outcomes. tossing a coin, pass/fail, rain/no rain etc etc.
Some additional gyan... when you combine a series of bernouli trials, you get the binomial distribution.
