Question

I was thinking while we're all burning the midnight oil to do a few more OG problems or one more CAT before G-Day, lets take a few minutes to do something a little more light-hearted (and pointless).

Nominate who you think has the best avatar. We can do categories if you want:

Hopefully all you guys with fun unique avatars get to change them to school related ones next year. Its slightly harder to get creative with those.

Shoot, I'm a month late to this thread. I'm glad people think my avatar is amusing and not totally stupid, LOL. It was the most non-offensive one I could find.

I nearly went with:

J Allen, I think your head-in-ass avatar is the most original. Although, maybe you should change it to the Oklahoma City Thunder logo when they finally come out with one! As a native Seattlite, I am heartbroken to see the Sonics skip town. I used to always catch a Sonics game while visiting my folks over the holidays. Now I have no basketball to watch! :cry:

I really hope they don't name the team the Thunder. I used to hate the name "Twisters" but if it comes down to these 2 options, I'd definitely vote for Twisters first. Our local paper (one named the worst newspaper in America) did a contest bracketology thing and Thunder won. All that told me is don't let the public name a freaking NBA basketball team!

Regardless of the name, I'll support them and probably get used to the name. People talk about the name wouldn't end with "s", but neither does "Miami Heat" and if no one realized, last week, we had 3 days with highs of 105. The hottest place in the US for those days and we had 35% humidity, which may not seem like much, but it sucked. If you give people in Phoenix humidity in the double digits they're freaking out.

How funny would it have been Milwaukee Deer instead of the Bucks? Surely Stern & Co. can come up with a better name than Thunder (although AC/DC Thunderstruck as the opening song would kind of be cool, but it's still not enough to get over the name "Thunder")

I guarantee if they name the team "Thunder", you're going to hear about the Blunder of the Thunder.

Shoot, I guess I thought that poll was an official thing. I didn't think the "Thunder" would have been a bad name. How about the OKC Tumbleweeds? LOL...I've never been to Oklahoma, do you guys have any of those rolling around? :-)

Even though the team isn't in Seattle anymore I'm still going to continue to follow and root for them. It just sucks that we had to live through the worst season in Sonics history only to have them skip town right when they are on the up-swing.
