Hi,
I have moved your query to a more appropriate forum.
Here is my take on your situation - For twenty-twenty intake, you still have 2-2.5 Years. That is a lot of freaking time. You shouldn't worry about it as of yet. Don't align your life or mould it just to get that MBA degree. Try and perform at your job. Get a good GMAT score. Then worry about a school later. The next two years could also mean a drastic change in the economic markets of the world. If you worry about something which you would have to worry about two years from now and than worry some more for the next 2-3 years during the program - That is a lot of worrying.

So just chill out, do your best on the job and take the things as they come.

All the best

Best,
Stone Cold
Thanks Stone Cold! Yes I do have time, but I think it's good to have clarity for the future and have a rough idea about when you're gonna do what. The applications will start late next year (2019), so I need to be ready at the time.

You're right, my work is what I should be and am focusing on right now. I would be on the lower side of the work-ex range (3 years), so I'll need to ensure it's up to quality.

Thankfully I have a good set of extracurriculars and some international study exposure from primary school.

This is a great forum actually, lot of helpful stuff here.

Cheers,
Garvit

Great.
Just another point - 3 years is no longer on the lower side of the work-ex range. It is the optimal value to be honest. More and more B-schools are luring younger candidates with 2-3 years of work ex. Make sure you have a few promotions and a tight story to present. Its really all about the story.

P.S - I will be matriculating this August with less than 3 years of work ex.
