Hello,

Can someone please answer

I would like to work in investments whether it be IB, Private Equity, or something in that field and work in New York or overseas. Which Mfin programs should I be targeting for the best chances to achieve this. Should I focus on school or location. For example go to UT Austin program which is better or Fordham and be already in NY.

Well in this case, school brand,location and the placement record for your target industry will play a key role here. For eg, LBS is a school that has a strong record for placing people into IB both in UK, Middle East and overseas.
For USA, you can look at UT Austin, Duke and Vanderbuilt - Between Ford-ham and Austin, I would suggest Austin . Though NY is the hub for IB, Austin has a stronger brand and it is going to attract tier-1 IB recruiters as well.
So I would suggest you to look at the brand and IB placement record to make a decison.

Vanderbilt consistently places into IB in NYC. UT Austin will place in NYC, although it will be strongest in Texas. USC has IB placements as well as a number of other programs.
