Hello Everyone -
Thanks to each one of you that has responded to my queries on the forum and helped me on the test-taking journey, which isnt complete yet
!
As my GMAT date gets closer (January 17th, 2019), I've been taking mock GMAT tests and scoring between 600-650 consistently. I've been unable to decide, if I should reschedule to February 6, 2019 to try and give my GMAT prep a push further, to try and target to 700+. If I do reschedule my test date, my Q is
1. For schools such as UCLA, UC San Diego where the deadline for round 2 applications is February 1, 2019 and round 3 is May 1, 2019; what does pushing out the test score do to my chances of getting into the eMBA program? Am I able to apply and get my foot in the door with all other information, except the GMAT score if I decide to reschedule to a later date or is it better to just get a score before round 2 deadline?
Please share your thoughts, as a reschedule fee of $50 will go upto $250 starting tomorrow.

Hi Gekkdude,
Pushing back your Test Date - even if it's just for a couple of weeks - could be quite beneficial (since you could use that extra study time to hone your existing skills and improve on any weak areas). How that choice might impact your applications is a different issue though. Many Schools have shown that they can be 'flexible' in their interpretation of application deadlines - meaning that the Schools might accept the rest of your application with the understanding that your Official GMAT Score would be available a few days later. This is an issue worth discussing directly with EACH School though - so you should contact each Admissions Department directly and ask.
As for how Round 2 vs Round 3 would impact your chances at a particular Program - that's an Admissions question, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

Is there a particular reason why you think you need a 700? For the EMBA programs you mentioned, I think that a 600 to 650 score would be sufficient. Unless you 100% need to score 700, at this point it may be best to take the exam in February, so you can get in your application for round two, and then if you need to (and admissions allows it), retake your GMAT and submit a new score.
