Before practice tests, I tend to review formula sheets and maybe do 2-3 problems to warm up; however, I've noticed myself getting off to a slow start when I start my exams (I do Quant first). Even when doing 30-question practice problems with Quant, I've noticed myself getting off to a slow start.
Are there any recommendations/best ways to effectively warm up prior to taking these exams? Something that really encompasses a whole variety of topics in a succinct manner that I can review/do problems right before taking a practice test (and my exam coming up)?
it's quite common for test-takers to warm up as they progress through the test. Your current approach of tackling 2-3 quant problems as a warm-up is a good start. Remember, it's normal to feel more 'in the zone' as you move further into the exam.
A crucial aspect of warming up, though, is mental preparation. It's not just about recalling formulas or practicing problems, but also about getting your mind in the right state. Before starting your exam, take a few moments to clear your head and focus. A calm, centered mind is incredibly powerful. It helps you approach the test with a sense of readiness and confidence, allowing you to efficiently tackle a variety of problems.
Good luck!
