I am awaiting some school decisions, and two have said they will notify everyone by mail. Has anyone had a good experience with receiving the dreaded small envelope?

That only happens for college admissions. You'll know via e-mail, or by looking up your status on the application website. A call means you're in!

I think i remember getting a small envelope from one of the ug schools i was accepted. Seeing a small envelope probably isn't a great sign... but it's certainly not a definite rejection.

I remember in undergrad receiving a big envelope - I think from Carnegie Mellon - that said on the outside in huge bold letters something along the lines of "THE OFFICIAL BIG ENVELOPE".

I always thought that was pretty funny.
