Can we solve this question using Pascal's triangle Binomial Series? Actually im unable 2 recollect that series.Is it something like this?

Archived GMAT Club Tests question - no more replies possible.
D is the right answer...but i wanted 2 know can we use this binomial series here?..i am unable to recollect it's correct formula..perhaps this series can simplify the method to derive the answer.
