Hello Friends,
I am looking for some reliable opinions on MSc in Finance at Bocconi University. I applied in the R2 and I am waiting for the results that should be released on the 14th of March.
First of all, I want to ask you about the GMAT score. My result is 680 (Q47, V35) and I wonder whether it is enough since there were many people rejected last year who got 700+.
Moreover, I would like to find out about the international recognition of Bocconi (not only in Europe, but also in the US) and whether it is easy to find a job abroad after graduating from Bocconi.
I would like this thread to be a comprehensive guide for future applicants, therefore please share
any opinion that you have on Bocconi!
Thanks and I am counting on you

Hi
konrado00 , the success of your MSc Finance application depends on several factors, broadly speaking
• academic focus coming through your GMAT and academic performance in previous courses
• enthusiasm and motivation for the study of subject
• understanding, experience, and appreciation of the subject through real-life applications and projects undertaken
• Focus on super-curriculars – for example, what supplementary books, articles, research papers, newspapers you read. What podcasts you listen to. How these interests support and compliment your interest in the subject
• Focus on Extra Curriculars – what are the transferrable skills that will help you achieve goals
• Originality and thought process
If you believe you have strongly addressed all the above points in your application, then a slight lower than average GMAT score for your demographic should not put your candidacy at risk.
MSc Finance of Bocconi is world renowned and is a feeder program to top consulting programs and investment banking jobs, therefore you need not worry about its prestige (I came to know some alums of this program closely through my study group at INSEAD. They were MBB sponsored for INSEAD MBA).
Best wishes
