Hello everyone,
I am finalizing my application for the MSc in Finance at Bocconi, and I’ve been asked to indicate my GPA calculated using Bocconi’s GPA Calculator.
I have an average grade of 14.13/20 on the French grading scale. According to conversion websites, my GPA is somewhere between 3.5 and 4 out of 4 (by the way, I don’t understand why there’s no official conversion, but anyway).
If I input my French average into Bocconi’s GPA Calculator, I get a score of 23.30/31. However, if I input the equivalent GPA in the American scale (let’s say 3.5), I get a score of 27.75, which is significantly higher.
Does anyone know if this is normal? I’m worried that the lower GPA resulting from the calculation based on my French average might harm my application, even though an average of 14/20 is supposed to be considered more than decent.
Have a good evening!
Alexis
