Hey everyone,

I've been accepted to the MSc in Finance at Bocconi, the Master in Banking and Finance at St. Gallen, and the MSc in Financial Markets at EDHEC. I need to make my choice within 3 weeks, and I'm currently not sure which school to choose for. I don't have very clear career goals yet, but investment banking currently appeals to me, preferably in an English speaking country (UK) as I'm most comfortable in that language. Moreover, I would say my level of German and French is about B1, and I speak no Italian.

I would be very interested to hear which schools you would prefer, and why? Which school/finance program do you think is best?

Thanks in advance :)

St. Gallen is the most prestigious finance school in German speaking countries. If you are not an EU citizen, it's almost impossible to get a working visa in Switzerland. But you should be able to get a job in Germany.
Bocconi also has very good reputation, but you need to speak Italian fluently to land a job there.

Bocconi is only in English, so you can learn daily Italian while you live there. It wont be a problem. If you are not from the EU, staying after graduation is going to be hard. So if you plan to work in Italy, you definitely have to know italian. If you are good at learning languages (French and Italian are really similar) , I would go for Bocconi. It has excellent international reputation, is also well known in England. But if not go for St. Gallen and improve your French. Either way, study languages!
