Hi Manas,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as hoped. GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, most of your CAT score results - along with your Official Score - show that you essentially performed the same each time (about 620 +/- a few points). You handle certain aspects of the GMAT consistently well, but you also make certain consistent mistakes. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. In addition, with this 600, you're closer to a 650+ than you probably realize. That having been said, it's possible that you have developed some 'bad habits' during your prior studies that are keeping you from scoring higher. Depending on how open you are to learning and practicing the proper Verbal Tactics, you could potentially retest before the end of the year and hit your Score Goal.

Before we discuss the data in your ESR, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far besides the books that you mentioned?

Goals:
3) When is your exact retest Date?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
5) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
