Hey Everyone,
I will take the GMAT on the third of april 2014.
In fact, I am a 22Y French speaking guy.
I have a good knowledge of English: reading, speaking, listening. As a business student, I did an exchange semester à University of Texas at Austin (USA)
The only problem is my writing skills which are low and don't meet now the GMAT standards. Even for the IELTS, my writing was a poor 6.
So, I really want to improve it (not only for the GMAT but also to write better in English).
Do you have a good AWA book to advise (in English of course) for me (book that maybe other French speaking guys used in the past)?
Thanks for your time
If your reading skills are good, your writing skills cannot be far behind - it is just a matter of some practice. High school books have Reading Comprehension passages with questions. Try to answer them properly - keep a standard grammar book and dictionary with you.
If you are worried about the AWA section, don't be. All you need for AWA is a good template (provided by any standard AWA book including Veritas AWA and IR book) and ideas. Even if your writing skills are average, the template will help you write a good essay.
For GMAT, focus on reading. As an MBA student, writing and speaking in English will also be very important of course.
