If there is enough interest, I'd like to do a quick pass through of the Chicago Booth Application Advice presentation tomorrow night (26) at 8pm EST. I realize this is last minute but at looking at my schedule for the coming weeks, its going to be difficult for me to find another time, so I'd rather do something now than nothing at all. PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND..
It will be held via dimdim.com, should work on everyone's computer. I will be broadcasting audio, but no video. If we run into technical issues, we can reschedule. I will post the URL to join the conference in this thread later tomorrow. I don't have a professional dim dim account so I think we are limited to 20 people, but I doubt well hit that.
I promise I will do these again periodically when I can, but wanted to do one quickly now for those of you interested. Feedback is welcomed. As a first run, I expect some rough edges and I would welcome broad ideas of how things can be improved. Never having done these before, I'm guessing at what people want to cover. If I hit the mark with something tell me. If I strike out and you find it more painful than watching Telletubies for 19 hours straight while being stuck in the middle seat in economy minus in the back of a plane, tell me.
Also, there is a general section on GMAT (how long to prepare, what to expect), please post if you want me to cover that or if I should completely skip it.
If you find the presentation useful, you are welcome to donate to my daughter's college education fund as well
I plan to cover:
* Broad stuff about GMAT scores, odds of admission by GMAT score, etc
* Each of the essay questions
* The Booth PPT, do's and don't
* Examples of poor PPT and poor essay questions
* Review of the booth admission process
* Discussion of interview dates, submission date, etc
* A number of slides on conveying short and long term goals
* Some good why booth stuff
There are roughly 40 slides to cover, so I expect it will take at least an hour to get through stuff.

rhyme, I will deffinetly be attending this. Thank you for doing this!
Nonetheless, would not want to miss it. Please let us know how do you plan to limit the number of users to 20, just in case more registrations come in?
