Hi all,
I am confused now, and I should choose BU (social impact) or JHU in the end?
I received both full-time MBAs over only two. My post-MBA goal is to go back to Asia and target a tech side company as a project manager or product manager.
More specifically, I want to target the tech side (FAANG) more.
By the way I am 30 year old and worked for 6 years in IT field.
I hope to have your feedback about the program.
JHU Carey
Pro:
1. Higher reputation for the school name sounds attractive.
2. Close to DC, and I want to take a few SAIS classes.
3. Name or alum support seems strong in Asia or worldwide.
4. Half tuition scholarship
Con:
1. New program without clear ranking.
2. It Seems not too many sustainable or energy field class compared with social impact.
3. Too focus on the healthcare and not a STEAM program
4. Location, Baltimore seems not that fun compared with Boston?
BU Questrom
Pro:
1. Full scholarship
2. Curriculum design seems matching for my target industry.
3. Location sounds great (tech cluster), which might be easier to find jobs.
4. STEAM program
Con;
1. Ranking is not that high.
2. Asia seems like big brand name.
3. Living cost is higher than JHU.
Thanks for all your advice!
Hi
gary1315,
Considering the strong sync with goals, scholarship, location advantage, and the STEM designation, Questrom is what we would recommend.
Good luck!
