Hi all,

I was admitted to Boston University (with $50k scholarship) and Fordham (with $70k scholarship).
My post MBA goal is to work in the fashion & luxury retail or e-commerce in the U.S. and I'm an international student.

It's a tough decision because neither school (or maybe no school in general) has a good reputation or/and strong focus in the retail/ e-commerce or fashion & luxury.
My main focus is working in the US again (I worked in the US with the h1b visa before and I moved back to my country).

Here is why Boston University may be good choice:
- "IF" I choose MBA+MSDi joint degree (it's possible), it will be a STEM degree and give me the extra 1 or 2 year of OPT after graduation.
- Given that I want to work in the intersection between fashion and tech and I do NOT have any tech background, learning technology and basic programming knowledge would be beneficial for job searching
- Slightly higher ranking as an MBA and BU has more alumni as the university is bigger than Fordham, so its name value may be better over the long-term

However, Fordham has many advantages:
- Location, Location, Location: I worked/lived in NYC for a longtime though I'm an international, so NYC feels like home to me.
- $70k scholarship. Though living cost in NYC is high, the rest of the tuition I'll have to pay after the scholarship, is about $16k (vs $65,500 for MBA+MSDi in BU)
- Networking opportunities in the industries I want to work would be a lot easier and advantageous
- (minor point) Fordham's strong focus is in finance, it could work better for me that BU's main focus which is healthcare/biotech/pharma..

I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestion. Do you think that, with my goal of working in the intersection btw the fashion and tech (e.g. Rent the runway/Amazon fashion) it's better to go to a school with a STEM degree? Or choose the location and to network proactively to get hands-on experience through internships?
Thank for your help!
