We know that even numbers are formed in three cases. O*E, E*O, E*E.

Case 1 (O*E):

Probability of Odd from X=2/4
Probability of Even from Y=2/5

Probability = 2/4*2/5 = 4/20

Case 2 (E*O):

Probability of Even from X=2/4
Probability of Odd from Y=3/5

Probability = 2/4*3/5 = 6/20

Case 3 (E*E):

Probability of Even from X=2/4
Probability of Even from Y=2/5

Probability = 2/4*2/5 = 4/20

Hence total probability = 4/20+6/20+4/20 = 14/20 = 7/10
