Congrats on your score! That's a great day when you can walk away with a better score than Mocks.
Sorry about the pen issue.... You can always bring this issue up to the GMAC, but I am not sure if that will earn you any friends at the base. And 730 is a pretty darn good score - most schools are below that and the top 10 are at about that level, so it won't hold you back from any of the programs. There may be a reason to get a higher score to be able to apply to some of the consulting firms that do ask high scores or to be a GMAT instructor in one of the cool companies. However, if you don't reach a 760, you are really not missing a whole lot on your applications as a US-person and a military applicant. Note that everyone who walks out of the test center, feels they could have done better but it does not mean they do the next time. I hope you will, though. Good luck!
Back to your question, per the rules, you can't bring anything really with you to the center. I can see you donating them potentially (a few days before your test) a set of markers for general use. I can't see that being against the rules.
