Hi All,
I know I am pretty late for R1 deadlines but I need urgent help from an MBA Applications Consultant. Some of the schools that I am targeting (around 1 month left for R1): 1. Foster, University of Washington; 2. Darden, University of Virginia; 3. Fuqua, Duke University; 4. Kelley, Indiana; 5. Tepper, CMU; 6. Stern, NYU
My profile:
- 3 years work exp. in one of the top consulting firms (MBB)
- GMAT 700 (Q50, V34, IR 6)
- Female, Engineer (Tier 2 college)
- Lots of extra-curricular at college, university, and national level
- International NGO experience
I am looking for a consultant with whom I can collaborate and finish applications on time without compromising on quality. I want a detailed advice on brainstorming, resume, essays and then interviews. So, ideally not someone who will just take 5 mins of call and send just the sample essays for guidance. I want to bring unique aspects of my personality and work in the essays and hence an expert advice is a must, given that I have less time. Please guide whom I can reach out. Thanks!
P.S. I have already visited top admissions consultant reviews page but most of them are very expensive (lakhs INR) or now they have closed enrollment for any further applications.

In this scenario, you will have to use the consultants' services intelligently to maximize the benefit of money you shell out for your applications. There are various services a consultant/company provides, and you can find the ideal package for you that fit your budget and assist you in your apps as much as possible. Ideally, for you, the first step should be to talk to different consultants and find your ideal match (with whom you think you can take your b-school journey forward) as it's important to choose the right consultant because any money is hard-earned.
Once you shortlist a few, look at the different packages/services they provide. For example, our 'Branding for MBA' package will help you build the narrative, theme, and direction of your story (will include all the brainstorming) based on which you can go ahead and draft your essays. Once you do, you can get the essays review packages (which are generally very affordable) and apply to the schools. Finally, if you get to the interview stage, you can go for the interview packages as well.
This is just one way of going with different combinations of packages. You can do more of your research and talk to a few experts and maybe find your way. But you need to get started soon on your applications if you are keen on targeting Round 1. Also, I would suggest you not rush through the process just to target R1 deadlines. Regarding your profile, I would like to know more to assess your chances properly.
