Bug/glitch on the official GMAT practise exams [#permalink] New post   24 Sep 2015, 18:05
Every time I complete a practice exam, my results tell me I did not complete the verbal section on time, when in fact i know i completed it early (in all 3 exams I've done). Has anyone else experienced this, or know if this could be affecting my verbal score? Please refer to attached snapshot (bottom right with the red circle and comment box).

Hi amirmek,

From the information that appears on the screen, the program appears to acknowledge that you've answered all 41 Verbal questions, so there's no reason to believe that your score is incorrect. Hypothetically, even if the program didn't register that you had answered the final Verbal question, any 'penalty' associated with one unanswered question would not be significant (likely 0 or 10 points).

1) What is your score goal?
2) When are you planning to take the Official GMAT?

Thanks for replying. Well that's good to know, it's just weird how it says that.

My goal is 600 (it will likely suffice given my work experience). I got 600,590, and 590 thus far on 3/4 mock tests. My test is this Monday.

My RC and CR for some reason have gotten worse since I first attempted the mock, and it might be time management. I'm looking for just an extra boost!

This is bizarre. Can you check if on the last question you did mark the answer? When you go back and review the questions answered, do you see your selection? I would report this to Official GMAT folks active on this forum. See this post: -post-your-questions-to-gmac-official-representative-here-133929.html

Hi amirmek,

Assuming that you took your CATs in a realistic fashion, then you're absolutely in position to score 600+ on Monday. In these last 2 days, it's important to NOT do too much work - don't take any CATs and don't 'cram.' You'll be better off doing a bit of light review and getting some rest.

On Test Day, remember to stay calm, take good notes and EARN those points. You should plan to report back here after your Exam.

Thanks for the followup Rich, you input is definitely appreciated.

I haven't completed all the OG16 questions so I've been going through some verbal qns lately (since my verbal is apparently worse than my quant). That being said, I wanted to review some math questions too, to keep my confidence up, as well as do exam 4/4 on the day before the test (tomorrow). Is doing a CAT the day before bad? I wanted to test if I can finish a CAT without having to rush my verbal like I normally do. Let me know what you think.

Hi Amir.,

Taking a CAT so close to Test Day is NOT a good idea. You should stick to what I mentioned in the prior post (light review, a bit of practice, and rest).
