torn between C & D. In both C & D faulty designs are already in place, and supervision or maintainance only works to compansate the faulty design. OA bhai?

Will go with (D) on this one,

Argument states that, the problems arises when engineers who did not designed the building try to maintain it. Hence it is best if the person who has designed the building oversees the maintenance part of the building as well. This is what (D) says,

What's the OA.

Alliviate meaning reduce the problem.

(D) is the best. (D) directly takes care of the problem mentioned stem. Even though the maintainence personnel do not study the building they are responsible, their actions are controlled by the engineer who know about the building.

B) Does not change the fact that it is DURING the repairs that the more costly problems are made
C) again, this does nothing to alleviate the problem since the original engineers are not involved in the supervision and new engineers seem to not know much about the buildings' structure.

D is best as mba and anandnk said

Hi

In my opinion D is the best answer. Looking at the statement, it says that the problems occur as the maintance people and the design engineer do not work hand-in.hand. If this is established then the problem would be solved.

The only statement that states this is D. All other statements are beating round the bush or are irrelevant.

Hence D is the best answer.
