please help.. a quick history of myself..
i have been away from india since 17.. did my be in software engineering, ms in computer science, and working for 5 years... i am 26... I decided to come up on my own and not be dependendt on my dad.. thats why i left to be on my own.. now i have decided to get an mba.. and then get back to my dads business.. recently my dad has expanded quite a bit... and he plans to open up a new steel factory india.. its his latest venture.. he has around 5-6 businesses i could go back to when ever i want.
now the questions are:
1) PT vs FT:
PT is good, the company i work at pays for it, i get my Permanent residency in the mean time, and then I could live here or in india and try to expand business here or there depending on the situation then on how my dads new venture turns up...
FT: Make good contacts... be able to concentrate more on business education, get more knowledge.. kind of scared i wont get to learn enough because of lack of time in PT.. Finance is not an issue. I have saved more than enough to cover the expenses by myself. no help from anyone needed.
2) What type of field I need to concentrate on MBA: I was thinking of Finance.. I would like to open a finance service company back in india.. and my brother plans to get ms in finance.. so we both plan to open up a joint venture eventually with some thing in investments.. The other option I thought was Operations Management/Supply Chain Management.. That seemed to fit in with my dads business chain...
Bottom line is I am confused on the above two things.. any advice helpful! any one!
