Business School information Session - Private interview or not?  [#permalink]

Hi folks,

Next week i'll have to the opportunity to attend an information session about a business school which I will apply to. (Master in Finance)

However, they also give me the opportunity to schedule a private interview (20 min) with an admissions officer. I see that he is the admissions officer for MBA and Master in Management programs.

Question is: Should I schedule this interview? I do know a lot about the program already and he might not be the one looking at the applications of the master in finance program.

All advice is welcome

Hi,

If they know your course preferences, and are still making him meet you as opposed to anyone else, I think he will have some role to play in Masters in Finance course admissions as well. Any meeting opportunity you get, take it. Prepare well in advance or else these meetings with the admissions committee members can have a very negative impact as well- it will be the exact opposite of networking. Get your story right- ask relevant questions, and assess a mutual fit.

You have nothing to lose except 20 minutes.

Thank you

Jatin
