I am interested in pursuing MBA or MS program in Human Resource Management. Please help me evaluate my profile for following list of schools. Feel free to suggest other schools matching my profile.

Target: Fall 2014

Under Grad: Bachelor of Commerce: 65% in final year (3yrs avg. 58%) Major in Financial Accounting, Mumbai University
Masters: Master in Commerce: 52% Major in Organisational Behavior,Mumbai University (Among Top 5 in class)

W.Ex: 3 years by August 2014,Domain: Oil/Gas Industry, Designation: Commercial Executive (Promoted within 6 months of joining, had started off as an assistant)
Extra Curricular: 21 years of learning and teaching Indian Classical Dance forms, Represented school in Quiz Comps, Sports & Olympiad. Volunteered for Cancer Society & HelpAge.

I am particularly concerned for my Low GPA during undergrad.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us

To address your concern on low GPA at undergrad , do not worry about the same because you can highlight your GMAT 720 and your performance at your masters. If you think you have time and you can retake GMAT to score 760+ (I repeat only if u think u can score 760+) then you can retake to have an edge, otherwise with 720 also u are good.

The schools that you have mentioned are within reach (except first two that are very competitive and you must demonstrate uniqueness to get in).

You can utilize the remaining time to improve your profile by

1) Undertaking management course in HRM (or in the area your future goal )
2) Improve EC beyond dancing, especially where you can have a leadership role as every school wants to see some sort of leadership
3) Take initiatives at work

Thanks for reviewing my query.
I would like to also clear/add a few things about what you suggested.
1) If I undertake a distance course in management(HRM) will that be all right? As I am working, I cannot go for a full time course right now.
2) As I have no work exp in the field of HR and if with permission of the office management I volunteer to observe/assist the HR dept will that help me improve my overall profile? (As changing job to switch to HR as a fresher seem to be a difficult call)
