When building an MBA shortlist, the US will naturally be on the radar for many applicants, and for good reason.
But I’ve been wondering: how many applicants actually take the time to compare US programs with strong options across other regions?
Europe, the UK, Canada, and Asia each have some excellent MBA programs, but the value proposition can be quite different.
For example:
- International class profile and network
- Program length and format
- Access to specific industries or markets
- Post-MBA work opportunities
- Location and ability to stay in the region
- Scholarships
So rather than thinking “US vs. Europe vs. Asia”, I think it’s more useful to ask:
“Which combination of schools gives me the strongest options for my specific career goals?”Would be interesting to hear how others are approaching this.
Are you keeping your MBA search US-focused, or are you also considering programs in Europe, the UK, Canada, or Asia? And what is driving that decision?
We are hosting a Live Session on 17 September with Shimri Winters and Jenifer Turtschanow where we’ll be discussing exactly this,
different MBA opportunities across these regions and how to think about school fit.
